ICM - SIA Linked Awards

The ICM was chosen by Edexcel (Pearson) as its special materials expert for the development of their
Level 2 and 3 Awards for Conflict Training and Physical Interventions Training in the Private Security
Sector. As a result of this development the ICM equivalent Awards can be used by its Quality
Award Centres to demonstrate evidence of the approved prior learning to then apply for RQF Certification
for licensing purposes.

The ICM does not itself provide Training.

Individuals wishing to undertake these awards would need to receive training from one of the ICM QAC’s who are active in the Security
Sector who are approved by an Awarding Body to deliver SIA Awards.

ICM Awards:

L222 Conflict Prevention & Management (In the Private Security Industry) The equivalent of the
Level 2 Conflict Management Award for SIA Licensing Application

L322 Delivering Conflict Prevention & Management (In the Private Security Industry) The equivalent
of the Level 3 Conflict Management Award for Training L222

L225 Physical Intervention Skills (In the Private Security Industry) The equivalent of the Level 2
Physical Intervention Award for SIA Licensing Application

L323 Delivering Physical Intervention Skills (In the Private Security Industry) The equivalent of the
Level 3 Physical Intervention Award for Training L225

Anyone who achieves an ICM –SIA Award must then have the award mapped to an Awarding Body’s
equivalent Award and be issued an Awarding Body Certificate for them to be eligible to deliver SIA
Awards in the workplace or to apply for an SIA License.
